Good bay area venues for solo acoustic/mellow music

What's up Bands of the Bay?

I'm the singer for Nine Wives (Berkeley based blues/progressive band) and am branching out to do some solo stuff that's pretty mellow (i.e acoustic guitar/solo electric guitar and vocals). I'm playing at Mama Buzz Cafe and Becketts, and am looking for more venues that are more suited to this kind of music.

Does anyone have any experience with smaller venues in the bay area? Tips?

I wouldn't use the iphone as a phone I'd just prefer it to the ipod touch because it has camera and since I don't have that many songs in my library I wouldn't need too much space. Is it possible to still access all the features on the iphone (aside from the phone) if I don't activate it? Could you rate the pros and cons of each?
