Getting this site up and running has consumed much of my time (and that of several of my colleagues!!) the past two months, and to see it live out in the world and getting real comments and users and band profiles appearing, is a thrill. I particularly liked a clip of sound I heard from Lafayette band Viacoma. Visit the band profile page to hear it. Sort of deep, haunting, wide, big, thoughtful.

I’ve heard from music industry sorts of folks who want us to hold a band battle in Monterey!!!! (we are seriously considering it) potential advertisers (sorry, we will eventually need a little income to keep this going) and a whole posse of bluegrass musicians who gently (those folksy people are so polite!) pointed out that we neglected to have that particular genre on our list. (Thanks; sorry and YES we will add it.)

So if there’s anything we could be doing better, etc., let us know..changing it might be as easy as a few clicks (well, a few clicks by our code guru Paul). But the guy is FAST so that’s a plus.

Anyhow, tell your friends. Add your favorite concert pictures to our photo gallery. Start discussions. Add calendar events. Just use it and let us know what ya think.!!!
