Bio - A little bit Ska, a little bit Reggae, and a whole lot of punk. MMFM blends styles and elements from all over the music spectrum. Growing up in San Francisco Bay Area introduced the members of MMFM at a very young age to a melting pot of unique styles and sounds that has molded the band into what they are today. This brand of high energy Punk-Ska-Reggae, coined "Skacore", has come of age in the last few years. This has allowed the seven members of this band to embrace what it means to dedicate yourself to your music. MMFM's unique sound has brought them to the forefront of the underground Skacore scene in Northern Califorina, and has enabled them them to share the stage with such greats as Fishbone, Collie Buddz, The UpTones, Tomorrow's Bad Seeds and The PYRX Band. MMFM has been touring the west coast for the past two years, and with their growing fan base, they have built some serious momentum. Enabling them to go from playing gigs at college house parties to playing for hunders of fans at venues such as the Phoenix Theatre in Petaluma CA, the Senator Theatre in Chico CA ., and The Catalyst Club in Santa Cruz CA. First timers to an MMFM concert are often blown away by their electric stage presence and catchy melodies. MMFM has found their niche in music, with their up beat mix of Ska, Reggae, and punk. MMFM's first release in 2003 was a demo they recorded in a dilapidated building they called “The Shack” aptly titling their release The Shack Demo. In 2005 they recorded An Intimate Evening Con MMFM Live which the band recorded live at Expressions College in Emeryville, Calif. In 2007, now with a large fan base, MMFM released A Fistful of Frogurt LP which combined their Reggae roots with Punk inspired Ska. Their most recent EP, Sea Shanties and Wet Panties was recorded in the summer of 2008 and is the band’s first fully mix-and-mastered release. This seven piece band is constructed on the grounds of making ground breaking music!, and with their fusion of Skacore and reggae, mixed together with their dedication to the their original sound they have evolved into the young talented group they are today.
